New craft classes
Here is one of those exciting things i was talking about a few posts ago. I have set up a new paper craft class in my village hall. So if you are in the Buckie, Banffshire area, give me a ring to find out what its all about.

Lots going on
I am busy making lots of plans for classes at the moment. How does a monthly stampin craft group sound or a all day Christmas event, especially as the new seasonal mini is on the horizon.
And I've seen it! It has been posted recently on the demo website. Swoon.... I got a bit excited and made a list of what i wanted before realising it was pretty much the whole cataloque, lol. The new seasonal catalogue is due to be released to the general public from early September.
It is amazing, my head is buzzing with ideas and opportunities, hence the planning mentiond above and I so wish I could share it with you now..... but alas we cant.
But if you were a demo you would be able to see it for yourself. Now is a fab time to join the wonderful world of Stampin' Up! And more reasons why you should..........
If you join in July your first quarterly minimum does not need to be met till the end of December 2012.That means you get your starter kit and £130 worth of any goods of your choice to play with over the summer.
Mid-August you get to pre-order lots of new items from the new seasonal catalogue at 30% discount.
Early September you can sell these products to your customers along with offering them the Items from the Last Chance/Retired Lists.

Twitterpated love
So my first order arrived last week and after unpacking it, sorting and despatching to my happy customers, i finally got to play. I have been working on a project that i am hoping will be a class soon. Its not quite finished but i will give you a sneak peak.
I had lots of twitterpated paper scraps left over so i made a quick card. And as usual i took way to many photo's so have decided to turn it into a tutorial for you. So here goes, how to make this card.
Materials
125406: Twitterpated designer series paper
121685: Crumb cake A4 card stock
119669: Classic stampin pad, Cherry cobbler
122331: Seam binding ribbon, baja breeze
125575: Bakers twine, Island indigo
122334: Simply Scored scoring tool
122497: Petite Pairs Stamps
121994: Build a blossom Stamps
117273: Antique Brads
106549: Whisper white card stock
Instructions
Begin by making a square card from the A4 Crumb cake card stock. Take the simply scored tool and score lines all around the outside of the card. Set aside for later.
Next take your selection of twitterpated scraps and trim into various sizes. Arrange into a pattern you are happy with. Glue them together or down onto a piece of scrap card stock. Once dried, trim the panel so its slightly smaller than the card and fits inside the scored edges. Use a ruler and journal pen and draw lines into the panel, to add depth. Stick to the card once done.

Next take a piece of whisper white CS and begin to stamp your blossoms. Pick one of the smaller petals. Ink it up and stamp the image twice. This way you will get a darker and lighter version. Take the corresponding detailed stamp, ink up and stamp onto the lighter petal. Repeat until you have 10 detailed petals and 5 solid dark petals. Punch them out using the matching punch or hand trim like me if not!
Punch out a couple of small circles from scrap CS and glue the petals onto the circle.
Once dry, its time to make a 3d flower. On the solid flower, make a cut and over lap two petals. Glue with a hot glue gun to secure. Repeat with the next petal, only this time take out one whole petal. Repeat with the last flower, but take out two petals. Glue together and add a brad to finish.
Next take some seam binding ribbon and bakers twine and wrap around the card and tie in a bow. Add the 3d flower. Stamp a sentiment and hang from the bakers twine to finish.

Playing with fabric
So for my last demo of the work shop i showed the ladies a selection of SU fabrics and what i made with it.
First off was a wreath i made for Rebecca

Next is a altered picture frame that i made again for Rebecca as i fed up of loosing all her hair slides and bobbles can be hung from the hooks.
And last is a little cute desk cady. This was inspired from seeing similar on pinterest. I couldnt find a direct link to the original or instructions so just whinged it. Not bad for a non sew'er.
